Terms of Service

Effective: September 1, 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Dossiq, a personal document management service operated by Binary Bridge LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

Anyone may create a Dossiq account. Every new account starts with a 30 day free trial of the tier you choose, and no card is required to begin it.

2. The Service

Dossiq provides:

• Secure cloud storage for personal documents
• OCR text extraction to make documents searchable
• AI-powered document classification and data extraction
• Next Steps: AI-suggested follow-up actions based on document content
• Organization tools including categories, modules (vehicles, health, financial, etc.), tasks, and reminders

3. Your Account

• You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials
• You must be at least 18 years old to use Dossiq
• One account per person — do not share accounts

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Your Documents and Data

4.1 Ownership

You retain full ownership of all documents you upload to Dossiq. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. We use your documents solely to provide the service as described in our Privacy Policy.

4.2 Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for the content you upload. By uploading documents, you represent that:

• You have the legal right to upload and store the documents
• Documents containing other people's personal data (family members, healthcare providers, etc.) are uploaded in accordance with applicable data protection laws
• You will not upload illegal, malicious, or harmful content
• You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or abuse the service

4.3 AI Processing

AI analysis is a core part of how Dossiq works. Text extracted from your documents is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Our Privacy Policy sets out exactly what Anthropic receives, how long they retain it, and on what basis. Because classification, extraction and Next Steps all depend on it, AI processing cannot be turned off separately while using the service.

5. Service Disclaimer

Dossiq is a young product under active development. This means:

• No warranty: The service is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee uptime, data availability, or the accuracy of AI analysis.
• AI is not advice: Dossiq reads your documents and suggests actions. It can misread a document, extract a wrong figure, or suggest something inappropriate. Nothing it produces is legal, medical, tax, or financial advice, and you should verify anything that matters before acting on it.
• Keep your originals: We take reasonable precautions to protect your data, but no service is immune to failure. We recommend keeping original copies of documents you upload.
• Service changes: We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. Where a change materially reduces what you have paid for, section 6.5 applies.
• Feedback: We welcome your feedback. Any feedback you provide may be used to improve the service without obligation to you.

6. Usage Limits & Fair Use

Dossiq offers two service tiers, each with usage allowances designed to be generous for normal household use. Every new account starts with a 30 day free trial of the tier you choose. No card is required to begin the trial.

Note the difference in how the two tiers count documents: Personal counts per person, while Family counts across the whole household rather than per member. Daily page allowances are per person on both tiers.

6.4 Fair Use

If you consistently exceed your plan's processing limits, we may:

• Queue excess documents for processing when your allowance next resets: the following day for a daily page allowance, or the following month for a monthly document allowance
• Notify you and suggest upgrading to a higher tier
• In extreme cases, temporarily reduce processing speed

6.5 Changes to Limits

We may adjust plan limits as the service evolves. If we materially reduce the limits for your current plan, we will provide 30 days' notice and honor your existing limits through the end of your current billing period.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Dossiq for any illegal purpose
• Upload content that infringes on others' rights
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-access the service
• Resell or redistribute access to the service

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Binary Bridge LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@dossiq.app. You can also delete your account directly from your account settings, which takes effect immediately. Upon deletion, all your documents, extracted data, AI analyses, and linked records are permanently removed.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Dossiq after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
